Veronica Mars Movie Project Update, Big Brother Canada, Lana Lang Returns to Smallville, Carrie's New Single, MTV Goes Retro With The Real World - March 28, 2013

The Veronica Mars Movie campaign is at the halfway point and they are double their goal.  The Kickstarter Project just went past the $4 million mark and still has 15 days to go.  Plans are already starting to land in place on the movie.  As I have said previously, the project is of course happening.  $2 million was the go time money amount.  Now, the movie can just get bigger and better from here.  The goodies for backing the project are really good and the highest dollar ones are amazingly gone.  Just unreal.  So, just what was the reaction by Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, and others as the Kickstarter project took off?  Well, it was just like the rest of us.  I sat and just watched Twitter all day along with the project page and was just in awe.  If you want to see the clip of their reactions and comments to all the great fans of this great show, here you go. 

Speaking of Kristen Bell, a big congrats to her and Dax Shepard on becoming parents. 

So, the late night TV buzz?  Oh goodness.  Not this again.  Didn’t we do this before already?  The rumor is that Leno will be leaving the Tonight Show.  The show will move back to New York and then Jimmy Fallon will take it over.  I really think NBC is feeling pressure about the worry that Fallon might get away when his contract is up.  This is just like years ago when they didn’t want Conan to get away.  We see how that ended up sadly.  A big mess.  I’m really concerned that we are heading for the same thing again.  I just hope Fallon doesn’t get caught in the mix of it.  He is a good guy and I enjoy his show a lot.  His celebrity games are such a great and unique mix to his show.  You get to see the celebrities out of their normal element and show more of their personalities instead of them being in promotion mode.  His show is a lot of fun.  All I could think was, oh no, not this again.

I have become a big Big Brother Canada fan.  The show is really good.  So much better than last season’s U.S. version.  It is produced by the same company behind the U.S. version.  My obvious question is how can this be?  LOL.  The house is much more entertaining.  There was hardly anything going on in the Big Brother house last summer during down time.  It was almost like the producers were bored too.  Once we lost Britney, the show went dull fast.  Dan’s antics kept us entertained cause we couldn’t’ believe what was happening but that house just was not fun like in years past.  On the Canada TV show anyway, they always have something going on for extra footage for the show including the strangely entertaining talking moose.  LOL.  I have yet to see the latest episode but I am absolutely loving it.  Please Big Brother, take some of these things you are doing in Canada and use them for the U.S. version this summer. 

Season Eleven is still continuing in comic form for Smallville.  TV Guide had a big story posted this week about what is to come and that is the return of Lana Lang.  She will be a part of a new arc in the series.  The first issue of which will be available digitally on Friday, April 5. Carrie Underwood’s new single is set to debut.  “See You Again” will be the latest single released off of her latest album “Blown Away”.  I am so excited to have this song as the latest release.  It is so good.  When I first picked up the album last year, the song immediately grabbed me.  I have to wonder if the response to the song from the AXS televised concert had anything to do with it.  “See You Again” had just been added to the lineup on the second leg of the Blown Away tour.  So, when we heard it live that night, it stirred quite a buzz among Carrie fans including seeing the title of the song trending on Twitter.  Not long after, the song was announced as the new single.  It should be going to radio very soon and she will be debuting the song on the April 4 episode of American Idol. 

I am so thrilled to see the big ratings of The Big Bang Theory.  The syndication has been a huge deal for that show.  The reruns on TBS have fueled the audience of that show.  I have seen all of the episodes but still find myself tuning in and watching the reruns.  Laughing at the same jokes.  Looking forward to excitement when those big happenings and jokes are ready to happen.  There are some shows that are fun to watch over and over and this show is one of them.  Many fans have been hooked lately through the reruns and are now tuning in to CBS for new episodes.  This is a show thankfully that I have watched and enjoyed since the pilot premiered back several years ago.  The story had a great hook to it and a great group of characters.  The show has grown and grown and is a huge hit.  So happy at its success. 

Here is something that I didn’t expect to say.  I watched MTV over the weekend.  Wow!  Yeah, MTV is not exactly on my radar either for current TV viewing.  However, if you were flipping around, you might have seen Retro Real World weekend going on.  They aired the original New York season, season three of San Francisco, and the Las Vegas season.  So, which one of these is not like the other?  LOL.  The Las Vegas season is actually what chased me out of The Real World show.  Watched it big time and then Vegas was my exit.  What really made me sad in watching this over the weekend was just watching these episodes and then the current promos would run for the new season.  So disappointing what this show has become.  While watching season one and three, all I could think was now this is when this show was a social experiment.  Put all these people in a house and see what happens.  That was especially true with the New York cast as they were the test run.  I loved that season and I stayed up late watching over the weekend cause I couldn’t turn it off.  Eric, Julie, Andre, Kevin, Heather B, Norman, and Becky were the seven stranger picked to live in a house and have their lives taped to see what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real.  New York was a huge hit.  The cast was such a wide range of personalities from all over the country.  They learned about one another, learned about New York, and learned about themselves being put in this fish bowl.  The results were amazing and hooked fans from the beginning.  It put reality TV on the map.  I watched a TON of San Francisco over the weekend too.  Almost the whole thing.  That season still might be the most talked about season of The Real World ever.  Judd, Rachel, Cory, Pedro, Puck, Mohammed, Pam, and then later, Jo, were the cast members for that season.  The story of Pedro.  The clashes with Puck.  Serious issues were brought to the table on that season and it was an amazing season.  I just can’t imagine what it is like to be that young and still trying to figure out yourselves but being in that house having everything taped.  It was also wild to think watching this retro marathon of just how this group was trying to figure out what to do with their lives and looking up online to see what a lot of this group was now doing with their lives.  It is like these seasons of the show freeze these people’s lives in time forever.  I find the show still refreshing in just watching these people trying to figure out who they are becoming.  I think we can all relate to that.  Only disappointment in these episodes.  They were the syndication cuts meaning all the mainstream music that gave such personality and a timestamp on the show was pulled and also there were parts of episodes cut down.  I can’t tell you what they did with the Vegas episodes cause I’ve already made my point there and didn’t watch it in the retro marathon.  In truth, I didn’t watch the San Francisco episodes on TV this weekend.  I pulled out an old VHS tape and watched the original episodes intact and enjoyed every minute of it.  I wanted to get the full effect of watching the show.  The retro marathon was a lot of fun.  The sad was seeing how great these episodes were and then again seeing the promos for the new season and not leaving me any single desire to watch it.  The Real World was great TV back in the day.  It left a huge mark on a generation that still remembers all of these casts. 

So, what new shows am I watching this season?  Not really many but I have two that I love.  One being Nashville and the other being Arrow.  Love both of those shows.  Hopefully I can go more into those shows later.

Veronica Mars Movie Hits The $2 Million Goal In Less Than 24 Hours, Exciting Times In The Entertainment Industry Ahead

We can now officially say it is happening!!!  The Veronica Mars movie is no longer a hope or a dream.  It is now a reality.  A 30 day goal was set up to raise $2 million to get this movie rolling and within 24 hours, the money raised was upwards of around $2.4 million.  Unbelievable.  As can be expected, the Veronica Mars Kickstarter project drew quite the buzz yesterday not just among fans but the entertainment industry as a whole watching this thing go down.  Every time that I would check the total, it just kept skyrocketing.  Twitter was a fun place yesterday with just watching people commenting in amazement over the response.  Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell spoke up for the fans and believed in this project.  They have believed in it for years.  They said the fans would show up and stuck their neck out saying here we go.  Within 24 hours, the fans spoke back fully funding this movie and funding it fast.  Now, obviously there is still 29 days left in this project.  With more money still continuing to come in, it just makes the movie bigger and better.  This thing is happening!  The movie should begin shooting this summer and it will be released early next year from what information that I have seen.

Make no mistake about it.  This project was huge.  This was a big, big deal and something that is going to change the entertainment industry.  Many have talked about this kind of thing for a long time wondering if people could get around things in the industry allowing fans to get involved over projects that they were passionate about.  I think it is very fitting that a passionate fan base like the Veronica Mars fan base were the ones to not just open the door but to swing and slam that door so wide open that everyone heard it.  The success of this project is going to open up so many possibilities of others doing the same kind of thing.  Getting to support projects to get them up and running while you are also getting something extra back along with the finished product.  One person that I have had in mind while watching this is Zachary Levi.  He is someone that I could really see being creative and keeping a very close eye to see if it could take off.  It turns out that he was was definitely paying attention as he posted this on Twitter last night.  "1st, congrats to @IMKristenBell & @RobThomas for helping move entertainment a little closer in the direction I've always hoped it would go.  2nd, to you Chucksters, believe that this news only bolsters my faith that I can help bring you a #ChuckMovie. Be patient. Stay tuned".  So, Zachary is already stirring on something with Chuck out of this project's success.  Believe me, the Chuck fans will swarm like crazy if a project does ever come about involving that show.  I know this cause I'll be one of them looking to help and push that campaign.  I could see a Chuck project being huge.  There are so many shows that you could say that with.  Could you imagine a Whedonverse backed Kickstarter project?  So, that is my plea to so many out there.  We've had a lot of shows taken from us over the years.  Shows we loved.  So many great projects that had the fan base and made their mark.  They were taken away before it was ready to be taken away.  Veronica Mars set the bench mark and showed that this can be done.  You can get the fans involved and they are going to help make the dreams of these producers, cast, and crew come true.  If you want a blueprint of how to do this kind of project, look no further than the Veronica Mars Movie Kickstarter Project.  It was a thing of beauty and there is currently $2.7 million backing that up as fact.  The entertainment industry changed yesterday and it is very exciting.  The possibilities are wide open now on what we might see in the future.  It is an exciting time for sure.  I can't wait to see what is coming next from my fandom universes. 

The Veronica Mars Movie Is Happening! But It Needs You To Help Make It Happen!

Veronica Mars fans!!  It's happening!!!!!!  That's right.  The much talked about and hoped for Veronica Mars movie.  However, they need your help to make it happen.  After being canceled six years ago, fans along with the cast and crew have all talked about a movie.  Would it happen?  Could it happen?  Of course, the problem with anything is going to be funding.  That is where all of us fans come in.  A Kickstarter campaign has been launched to fund the $2 million budget that is needed to make this movie happen.  Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell are pushing this campaign and are ready to make this thing happen.  There are all sorts of money options on backing this movie.  The more you spend, the more you get of course.  The top price tag is already gone which was for a speaking role in the movie with a price tag of $10,000.  It is already gone and was gone within an hour of when EW posted the article about this Kickstarter campaign!  That is incredible.  There are a lot of good things available to fans with their support.  So, this is it Veronica Mars fans!  We have all talked about wanting this movie for all of these years.  This is the chance.  Get behind this project and support it.  Let's make this movie happen!  It's happening!  The deadline to get this thing funded is at 11pm EST on Friday, April 12th. Homecoming Friday Night at The Grand Ole Opry - Carrie Underwood, Gloriana, Sarah Darling, & Many More - February 1, 2013

Homecoming weekend was a big hit at the Grand Ole Opry this past weekend in Nashville.  I was blessed to get to attend Friday night which was the first night for the Opry to be back in the Opry House for 2013.  The Opry has been over in its winter home for the season at the Ryman Auditorium.  So, this was the big return to the Grand Ole Opry House for 2013.  The night was a big one with talent including Carrie Underwood, Gloriana, Sarah Darling, Charles Esten, Bill Anderson, John Conlee, Jeannie Seely, and more.  It was a packed house on Friday night.

Of course I was there to see Carrie Underwood.  She never disappoints and put on a great show.  She performed four songs which ended up being one song from each of her four albums.  Carrie opened with "Undo It" which was a flashback for me as one of my first Carrie concerts to attend was when that song was really breaking out.  Next was a flashback for many back to her Opry induction as she sang "I Told You So".  You may remember that this was the song that she was singing when Randy Travis came out to surprise her by asking her to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.  It sounded great.  Next was the song that is always a crowd pleaser, "Jesus Take The Wheel".  Lots of fans singing along with her.  She closed with what a song that she called "a love story, a love gone wrong story" which was her latest single, "Two Black Cadillacs".  The Opry roared as the song started.  A great finale for her performance and she belted the finish of it.  Carrie is a superstar for sure and it is always a blessing to get to see her perform in person.   I always say that I could listen to her sing the phone book.  Funny moment when she was not far off from taking the stage, fans swarmed the front of the stage to get into position for picture taking for Carrie.  It sounded like a stampede as people lined the front of the stage.  LOL.

My third time to see Gloriana perform in person and I always enjoy them.  Mike, Tom, and Rachel went through two songs which was their two latest hits "Kissed You Good Night" and also "Can't Shake You".  I did break my streak of meet and greets with them.  I've gotten to take part in a meet and greet the other two times I had seen them so it was kind of an expected bummer knowing that my meet and greet streak would end.  They are always great with their fans and they did a great job on Friday night.

Sarah Darling won me over big time on Friday night.  I have been hearing her music off and on in the last several months on country radio and TV.  She performed a classic song with "Walking After Midnight" that sounded great.  She finished with her latest hit, "Feels Like Home".  I loved the touch of having the music video up in the background as she performed.  She has a beautiful voice and I left there a fan of hers for sure.

The new ABC show, Nashville was represented big time at the Opry.  Fun that they were playing promos for Nashville on the big screens during the pre-show along with that ever addicting song "Telescope" by Hayden Panettiere.  On stage at the Opry was a familiar face to Nashville fans and that was Charles Esten.  He plays the role of "Deacon" on the show.  The crowd loved him and he rocked the Opry.  He was excited to play for his first time in the Opry House.

Along with all these acts, we had so many more performers that are too many to name including John Conlee, The Whites, Jeannie Seely, Blue Sky Riders, and more.  Bill Anderson is someone that I always enjoy at the Opry.  Such a nice guy and really fun to have on stage at the Opry.  Blue Sky Riders is a newly formed band which includes Kenny Loggins among others.  They sounded really good as well especially with them talking about how they were still getting going.  They are off to a really good start.

There is so much to say about this Opry show.  There is so much entertainment even before the show including the Minnie Pearle impersonator.  The history of the Opry video that plays is always interesting to watch and I was very happy to see it playing with Carrie Underwood hosting it.  Always such a fun and laid back atmosphere at the Opry and I'm looking forward to being there again in the future.  That is it for this recap of the Opry night.  Take care and God bless!!

Grand Ole Opry Homecoming Weekend On February 1-2, 2013

The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN is set for its Homecoming weekend.  The Opry returns to the Opry House this weekend of February 1-2, 2013.  Things will start big on Friday night with a lineup including Carrie Underwood, Gloriana, Sarah Darling, Charles Easton, Bill Anderson, and more.  Saturday night will see another big lineup including Scotty McCreery, The Band Perry, Kristen Kelly, Bill Anderson, and more.  It should be a great Homecoming weekend at the Opry.  Others set to appear in future weeks include Kellie Pickler, Lorrie Morgan, Craig Morgan, Josh Turner, Lauren Alaina, and plenty more.  Check out the Opry website for more info on these and many other shows.  Click here for more info.

TV Guide Polls Fans On Which Canceled Show They Would Bring Back - January 31, 2013

TV Guide has a poll up on their site that is really worth checking out.  Yet another one of those battle of the fandom kind of setups.  Which canceled show would you bring back?  Here are the choices: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Chuck, CSI: Miami, Deadwood, Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, Ghost Whisperer, Heroes, Jericho, Leverage, Moonlight, My So-Called Life, Pushing Daisies, Ringer, Roswell, Terra Nova, Twin Peaks, V, Veronica Mars, and Wonderfalls. 

I know I have my five picks and all of them are among some of my favorite shows ever.  So I thought I would just have some fun and go over them.  These are in no particular order.  Keep in mind, this is just a poll and we're likely never seeing any of these shows coming back.  Just something fun they are doing.  Although you just never know with Firefly.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer.  Without a doubt, I would bring this back.  Joss Whedon would have many more stories to tell.  In fact they are still being told in comic form as they are currently into season nine there.  Season seven wrapped up really nicely on TV.  Of course, the Buffy verse was able to continue on with Angel running one last season after Buffy finished.  That saw several characters jumping over to Angel making for a great season there.  Angel, of course, left us on a big cliffhanger but you can continue the story there in comic form as well. 

Chuck.  I just love this show.  Still do.  It was fun participating in the Chuckiversary Twitter view this past weekend.  Those writers, cast, and crew are so talented that there would be many more stories to tell.  The way that the show left off would leave plenty of ways for the show to go if they ever decided to bring it back in whatever form.  This would be a big pick of mine to continue on.  Just one of those shows that has everything and a great support of fans behind it.  So many amazing fan campaigns involving Subway and more.  These fans fought hard and I was right in there with them trying to help get word out to save the show.  Miss this show terribly. 

Veronica Mars.  That talk of a movie has just never went away.  And when you ask those involved with the show about a movie, so many have said that they would be in for it.  That annoying word of "funding" always comes into play next.  Veronica Mars still is a great show and I watch reruns of it often on TV.  This was the "show that could" with a big fan base that continued to fight for the show even across networks.  Kristen Bell was an absolute star on this show.  How many memorable lines did she have on that show?  Too many to count.  So many great story mysteries written that you just never knew where the show was going to go.  Every time you thought you had a mystery figured out, it went a completely different direction.  I always hold out hope that we'll see something Veronica Mars related in the future but you just never know.

Firefly.  Well, no kidding.  If there was ever a show that had way more stories to tell, it was this one.  The fandom of this show is still so huge ten years later and it was only around for half a season and one movie.  The cast is still very tight.  They all want to do more with the show.  This is Joss Whedon's baby.  I don't know where Joss would find time with all that he has on his plate now.  I still feel like we'll eventually see Firefly return in some form.  It is just too strong of a force among fans to just leave it alone.  All of us fans will just have to hold out hope for something in the future.

Roswell.  This was a favorite show of mine as well back in the day.  Yeah, that third season that we got of the show wasn't near as strong as the first two but I still loved this show.  The first season of the show was great with all the story twists and learning about the background of these characters and them trying to survive with drawing attention on themselves.  This was one of the shows that really put the spark into what save a show fan campaigns need to be as this show fought for survival every year.  This crossed networks too with going from the WB to UPN.  Roswell fans all remember the stress of that up front week when the WB dropped the show leaving all eyes on UPN on whether they were going to bring it over with Buffy The Vampire Slayer.  Too much time has passed with this show but I put it in here out of complete loyalty.

Chuck - One Year Later - January 26, 2013

It has been a year now since Chuck left us with its series finale.  It is still one of my favorite series finales ever.  I still am very happy with how the show wrapped up.  A year later, the fans of the show are still all banded together talking about the show they love and the cast and crew they love.  In fact, a plan has been made for what to do with this Chuckiversary.  A global viewing party which you can find out more about at this link.

I thought it would be fun to also post my thoughts and farewell to Chuck that I typed up a year ago so here is a flashback to last year.

Thank you Chuck. A little over five years ago, I got to watch a sneak preview of the pilot episode of Chuck. I loved it immediately. All these years later, I was sitting glued to tonight's series finale. This episode had everything that I've always loved about the show especially the last twenty minutes. We really went full circle with this finale. Sarah losing her memories thanks to the intersect. Chuck having to try and win her back. We really saw a lot of what Sarah was like at the beginning of the show where it was just a job for Sarah. No emotional connection. Yet, they would show us every so often tonight that maybe those memories and the person that she became was still in there. Not only were we seeing retro Sarah but we got a lot of retro Chuck too. Seeing a lot of what he was like in the beginning but yet seeing the person that he grew into. Lots of fun retro moments with the locations that they ended up at. They were able to prevail after saving Beckman from the bomb with a little help from Jeffster who saved the day. Ellie's plan for using the intersect glasses one more time had a change of plans. It could either be used for the intersect or for it to be a way to put memories back in Sarah's head to see if it would help her out. However, the bomb had to be stopped so Chuck had to take the intersect to make the save so he could stop the bomb. Sarah's suggestion on the virus to stop the bomb again gave us a clue that maybe those memories of hers were coming back. Linda Hamilton returning for the finale as Chuck's mom was great. When I saw the scene with Jeff and Lester saying that they were going to help and then cut to the orchestra, I was thinking this has to be a Jeffster farewell for us. It was awesome and I now have yet another 80's song that I will always associate to this show which is "Take On Me". LOL. And, that is a good thing for sure. So, what happened with everyone? Well, Casey had his farewell which included a hug for Chuck. I definitely teared up on that one cause that was a big moment after the rollercoaster ride those two have had for the full series. Casey was off to find his love from all indications with Gertrude. Morgan and Alex told Casey that they were moving in together. That was no surprise to Casey as he already figured it out. Jeffster were picked up by an international recording company. I guess Big Mike stays at the Buy More cause that is really all we saw there. However, we did see that Subway was coming in which was fitting. Subway has been a huge part of this show's history and were a big help. Awesome and Ellie were recruited for new jobs in Chicago. So, what about Chuck and Sarah? Well, we got left on a cliffhanger there of sorts. They met on the beach at the end which was a retro moment. Sarah knew it was a special place for them which shows that she still is getting some of her memories back. She asked Chuck to tell her their story which he did including a lot of clips thrown in. The series ended with Chuck mentioning Morgan's idea. A kiss would bring all her memories back. Sarah said to kiss her which he did. The kiss was how it ended. So, did it bring her memories back? Will he have to win her all over again? I guess we won't find that out but it was a great ending. I'm thankful that we got to have a farewell season as it was a lot of fun. This season had a little bit of everything and we got to see a lot of twists with the intersect. So, we say goodbye to Chuck after five seasons. One of the most fan friendly cast and crews I've ever seen. This show is so great to its fans whether it is online, Comic Con, Chuckfest, or whatever else. They care about their fans and go out of their way to interact with them. I wish more shows would look at this show and take notes of that. The fans have been a huge part of this show. Fan campaigns to keep it going. The Subway campaigns. Down to the wire on being renewed while the fans fight, fight, and fight to keep it going. All these years later of fighting, we got five great seasons. Tonight's finale did what the show has always done. It gave us every emotion. All of us Chuck fans loved this show. Loved these characters. Loved this cast. Loved this crew. To that, all of us Chuck fans say thank you to everyone involved in this great show. Thank you for the great ride over the last five years. Carrie Underwood's "Two Black Cadillacs" Video Debuts To Rave Reviews - January 25, 2013

There has been a lot of anticipation for the debut of Carrie Underwood's new video, "Two Black Cadillacs".  The video finally premiered this week and has been a big hit among fans.  With the song, you knew there had to be a good storyline for this video.  It delivered.  Lots of mystery and discussion about the happenings in the video.  Who did what?  What about the car which channels the movie "Christine" big time?  It is an awesome video and all I could think when I watched it the first time is what a cool and eerie video this is.  LOL.  This song has already became one of my favorite Carrie songs ever and I said this the day that her newest album, "Blown Away", was released.  It is just a cool song that gets in your head quickly.  I've said this previously but it was so great to hear the reaction that the song got at the Opry back in June of last year as she started to sing it.  The album was still very new at that point and I thought 'well, I am definitely not the only person that really likes this song a lot'.  If you haven't seen the video for "Two Black Cadillacs", here is the link to it.  Enjoy it!

Firefly Celebrates Ten Years - Brown Coats Unite

Has it really been ten years since Firefly premiered?  Sadly to go with that statement is has it really been ten years since Firefly was canceled?  Has there ever been a show that lasted three months that has meant more to fans?  That is my question.  This Joss Whedon juggernaut of a show premiered on Fox in 2002.  The show built such a big following in that time and the release of the DVD not long after took the show to another level.  With Firefly being canceled, I guess I shouldn't be surprised because it is Fox.  I have had that network cancel too many shows early on.  I grew tired long ago of new shows being pushed to the moon, getting me interested, and then leaving me hanging after just a few episodes.  I actually don't want anything new on Fox.  It's like TV watching strategy 101 with me.  Thankfully all of us fans got that amazing box set of episodes that did get finished.  Then, the push for the movie, Serenity, that wrapped it all up nicely for us.  The Whedonverse is a powerful force and Firefly fandom still continues to this day and it is strong as ever.  This year's Comic Con hosted a panel looking back at ten years.  The Science Channel has been airing Firefly shows and usually in a marathon style format.  From the addictive theme song to the great stories, dialogue, and action, Firefly continues to fly with the fans.  The Science Channel also recently aired a ten year retrospective with most of the cast taking part in a roundtable discussion.  Several that weren't able to participate in the roundtable due to scheduling conflicts were interviewed separately and included in the special.  From what I understand, Joss Whedon was not available at the time to be included in the roundtable discussion.  The roundtable was a lot of fun and they took us inside the story of the show being launched, what the show has meant to them, and how it has continued on.  The talk of the cancellation was brought up and it just brought that group even closer together when it happened.  Make no mistake, that is a family right there.  You can see it every time that they are together.  One of the most frustrating things of the special was the story pitches that were discussed by several in the roundtable.  Stories of episodes that never got made.  As I'm hearing these stories, I can see these episodes in my head and they would absolutely work.  Ugh!!!  I tend to agree with what the rest said with the fact that they don't think Firefly is done.  Most of the cast and crew seems to be on board for any future project that might come up.  When Arrested Development got the big return in that tie in with Netflix, many suggested that Firefly be the next show to get that kind of a deal.  You never know but there are so many ways to get this show out there now regardless or what route.  I think Firefly will return in some sort of form in the future outside of the comic book realm.  It means too much to too many people to just sit dormant.  I, for one, hope it happens.  The show still remains one of my favorites of all time.  Ten years later, people still talk about this great show and want more.  If you weren't able to catch the ten year anniversary special, be on the lookout for repeats of it cause it is absolutely worth watching.  If you did see it, how about some deleted scenes?  Here you go.

Nashville Brings the Music and the Drama on ABC

Nashville has been one of the most promoted new shows of the season.  Critically acclaimed and building a big fan following as well.  I have become a big fan of the show as well.  Nashville follows the story of several different characters in the music industry.  There are a lot of stories.  The country legend battling executives and fighting to continue doing what she wants to do with her music.  The young up and comer with the attitude.  The song writers who are looking to get their songs out there.  The fresh faces just seeing if there is a start for them in the business.  The main focus of the show from the beginning was the battle between the country legend, Rayna James and the young up and comer, Juliette Barnes.  The two not liking each other at all and showing the division between them.  This while also battling their executives trying to get them to work together.  The focus has kind of faded a bit as far as the two of them against each other but that looks to be changing with next week's episode.  Lately, the focus of the story for Juliette has been her troubled mom and also the shoplifting incident that put her career into a tail spin.  Rayna has been battling to try and get her music her way.  She is also dealing with her dad and husband who is getting into a very ugly mayoral fight.  Then, we have the song writer, Deacon.  He has been caught in the middle of the Rayna and Juliette feud while also battling troubles of his past.  The fresh faces of Scarlett and Gunnar who have a magical chemistry together while singing.  It turned somewhat into a love triangle but is basically a love square at this point.  Scarlett having a boyfriend in Avery who has been a struggling musician.  Their relationship is way past rocky now while Gunnar has a romance starting of his own.  I have really enjoyed this show.  The production is really good and just the locations that they have chosen to do scenes at has been great and shows off the beauty of the city.  Nashville has become one of my two favorite new shows of the season.  The cast has been all over the place including the Grand Ole Opry making their debuts there.  Some debuts have happened and some are upcoming very shortly.  Hayden Panettiere has a breakout song already from the show that is now getting airplay.  Here is her video for "Telescope".  Good luck on getting this song out of your head when you hear it!  Catchy as can be.
