Big Brother 18 Thoughts - Roadkill Challenge, Veto Results SPOILER

I'll put SPOILER ALERT here as I'm going to be talking live feeds and TV show so stop reading if you don't want spoilers.  We're about four days into the Big Brother 18 live feeds.  I always call Friday "meet your new houseguests" day as that is the first full day of feeds to where you sit back and observe the house.  Not a whole lot going on in the house over the weekend outside of a few random things with conversations.  Voting talk and such.  Jozea is the target to be evicted this week and the goal of the side of the house targeting him is to keep it quiet for a blindside.  Paulie was even talking to Frank at one point about later in the week going to Jozea and saying "wow, this is bad.  I really think I'm going home.  I don't think I have the votes".  Just to stir it up and hype up the blindside more.  So, the guy who thinks he is the master mind Big Brother player is about to get played big time on Thursday.  Get your popcorn.  LOL.  Whew, this guy.  I think he has had one of the worst Big Brother weeks ever and all of it is his own doing.  He's terrible at this game.  Big Brother 101 says that you don't voice that your target is the current HOH!!!!  LOL.  That's just the first of many mistakes by Jozea this week.  Unless there is some out of nowhere turn of votes, he'll be going home this week. We were introduced to the new twist of the Roadkill challenge.  The winner of that gets a secret power of adding a third nominee on to the block.  All houseguests open up a box to reveal if they were a winner or loser in the competition.  The winner can then tell people he won it or keep it to himself.  Frank was the winner this week and he put up Paul up on the block.  Now, here is where we are going to get into more spoilers so SPOILER ALERT!!!  With Frank putting him on the block, that made the veto competition that much more important.  The Eight Pack alliance was very strong in that they couldn't let Jozea win the veto.  He is the number one target for eviction this week.  So, he didn't win veto.  Paul did and was apparently very vocal about his win afterwards.  We haven't seen this of course yet on the show so I'm curious to see how that looks compared to the talk of it.  Veto meeting has occurred over the weekend.  Paul took himself off the block.  Bridgette was put on the block as a replacement.  Target is Jozea and that alliance thinks they easily have the votes to keep him.  As far as the overall cast, I like the group.  Some more than others obviously.  LOL.  I've got about three or four that I'd like to see voted out soon.  It has been mostly a quiet week in the house.  I think things will really pick up with intensity in there when this blindside happens on Thursday.  That will show the battle lines of the house and some that thought they were safe and good in this game are going to panic realizing they aren't safe.  So, that's it for now.  Just some random thoughts on this weekend of live feeds and TV shows. Hope you are having a great day!

Big Brother 18 Premiere Thoughts - Catching Up With The Returning Houseguests

And away we go on Big Brother 18!  I was so excited to see the premiere last night!  Just a few quick thoughts on the first episode.  My likes and dislikes.  We got several twists last night.  The first being the worst kept secret among the Big Brother fandom over the last month with the fact that there would be four returning houseguests.  The Jordan Parhar list of returnees turned out to be 100% accurate which I was really hoping it would be.  Returning to the house are Nicole, James, Da'Vonne, and Frank.  They were revealed later as a surprise to the house after the newbies had all moved in.  I'm a huge Nicole fan so having her back this season is great!  Now, I'm already sweating with the results of the first episode in stress hoping that she is going to be safe on tonight's episode.  The next twist to discuss is the announcement that everyone would be playing as teams.  Not crazy about that twist.  I'm going to stay optimistic on it but this just hasn't been good for me in years past.  The couples in BB9 but then again all of BB9 is a season that I desperately want to forget.  We had the coaches in BB14 which I thought kind of kept that season down a bit.  I enjoyed BB14 obviously but I just like a solo game.  So does Da'Vonne who was very vocal last night in her DR interviews about how she didn't come back to play a team game.  I tend to think that this will play out for maybe half the season and then we'll get back to a solo game like it has worked out in previous seasons.  I'm going to stay optimistic for the time being that this could be a fun twist.  A few other happenings.  Da'Vonne and Paul.  Whew!  That team isn't going to work.  They are past their limit with one another.  Michelle has figured out already that Tiffany is Vanessa's sister.  Of course, Da'Vonne is on to her too cause of being around Vanessa last year.  Paulie went ahead and outed himself announcing that he was Cody's brother.  He was getting worried especially with Nicole being in the house knowing Cody.  As far as the overall cast goes, I'm pretty happy with it after one episode.  It was an interesting two hour premiere.  So, we got the twist of how the competitions would play out last night.  First place team in the first comp would be safe from eviction for the first two HOH's.  The losing team of the second comp would have to then battle it out among themselves to stay in the house.  That's right.  Someone is going home immediately.  Nicole's team ends up finishing last so it will be that team of four battling it out on tonight's episode.  The player that finishes last will be the first evicted.  In another twist, it was announced that even though one of that team will go home, one of them will be HOH as well.  Yep, lots of happenings last night. With watching the first episode, I thought most of them were like their preseason interviews.  Again, it's one episode.  Let's see how things are within two weeks.  We've had seasons in the past where NOBODY was like their preseason interview once we got a little bit into the game.  LOL.  Overall, I enjoyed the premiere and I'm excited for yet another season.  Second episode tonight at 8pm central time.  Live feeds start at midnight central time tonight. What about those four returning houseguests?  Here is Jeff catching up with them.

Independence Day: Resurgence

It's hard to believe it has been 20 years since the release of the original Independence Day movies.  When I heard they were doing a sequel, my ears perked up of major curiosity.  What will it be like?  What is the story?  Who is returning?  20 years of questions basically.  I'm excited to check out the movie.  I saw the original in theaters on opening weekend back in 1996.  I sat on the very front row as we were late in arriving.  LOL.  I spent the next over two hours absolutely loving that movie.  20 years later, here we are.  How will the sequel be?  We'll find out this Friday upon release on June 24th.  Here is the trailer to get you set up for it.

Big Brother 18 Premiere Night!!!

Happy Big Brother 18 premiere day!!!  Can you believe it is already here?  The new season premieres tonight on CBS at 7pm central time!  So, we still have questions going into tonight's premiere.  We have 12 announced houseguests.  We are waiting for 4 more.  12 are new.  The 4 are rumored to be returning houseguests.  I've seen the names floated around and I am hoping they are right.  Let's talk about what we do know and that is the 12.  A couple of them have ties to previous Big Brother houseguests.  First, we have Paulie who is the brother of BB16's Cody.  Second, we have Tiffany.  She is the sister of BB17's Vanessa.  With watching their preseason interviews with Jeff on CBS.com, it seems pretty clear that both are wanting to lay low on this secret.  It is going to be REALLY hard to hide those secrets for two reasons.  The first is that they look and sound an awful lot like their siblings!  LOL.  Paulie and Cody look very similar and if any of these new cast members are big superfans, they will recognize Cody cause he has made appearances on the show.  And good luck to Tiffany cause she looks and sounds just like her sister.  LOL.  That is going to be hard to hide.  Now, here is my bigger problem with them hiding their secret.  When you are on Big Brother, the show ends and here comes your families out to the finale, after shows, parties, etc.  If you are one of these rumored houseguests coming back into the house, they very well may know these siblings!  Not just have met them or talked to them but genuinely know them especially if you were on the season with their sibling.  How does that play out?  Do they align or do you out them? That is the question.  I am waiting to hear if the Jordan Parhar call is correct on who he said will be the returning four.  Please be right Jordan!!!  I've got an all time favorite in that list if it is correct.  So, what about the new cast?  Well, here is the names of the new cast.
Paul Abrahamian - 23 from Tarzana, CA.  Clothing designer
Victor Arroyo - 25 from Slidell, LA.  Gym manager
